Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb 450g ground beef
  • 8 oz 225g noodles (egg noodles, udon, or ramen)
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger grated
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil for cooking

Optional:

  • 1 cup 1 cup bell peppers thinly sliced
  • ½ cup 1/2 cup carrots julienned
  • ½ cup 1/2 cup snap peas or broccoli florets

Instructions
 

Prepare the Noodles

  • Start by cooking your noodles according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain the noodles and set them aside. Be sure to toss them with a little bit of sesame oil to prevent sticking.

Cook the Beef

  • In a large skillet or wok, heat some vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks. Brown the beef for about 5-7 minutes until it’s fully cooked and no longer pink. Drain any excess fat if needed.

Make the Sauce

  • In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Stir to combine. This sauce will be the flavorful base for your Mongolian Ground Beef Noodles.

Stir-Fry the Veggies (Optional)

  • If you’re using vegetables, add them to the skillet with the beef. Stir-fry the veggies for 2-3 minutes until they’re tender-crisp. You want them to maintain some texture, so don’t overcook them.

Combine Everything

  • Add the cooked noodles to the skillet with the beef and veggies. Pour the sauce over everything, tossing to coat the noodles and beef evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
