Preheat your grill, stovetop grill pan, or skillet over medium heat.
Place the hot dog sausages on the grill or in the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are heated through and have grill marks on all sides.
While the hot dogs are cooking, warm the chili in a saucepan over medium heat until it's hot and bubbly.
Once the hot dogs are cooked, place each one in a hot dog bun.
Spoon a generous amount of chili over each hot dog.
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the chili-topped hot dogs.
If desired, sprinkle diced onions and jalapeños over the cheese.
Drizzle ketchup, mustard, or any other condiments you like over the top.
Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious chili cheese dogs!
