This easy croffle recipe transforms store-bought croissant dough into a crispy, golden waffle-style pastry in just 10 minutes. With flaky layers on the inside and a caramelized exterior, croffles are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 can 8 oz refrigerated croissant dough (8-count)
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter melted (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar optional, for caramelization
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar for garnish
  • Maple syrup for serving (optional)
  • Whipped Cream optional
  • Nutella or chocolate spread optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the waffle iron to medium-high heat.
  • Lightly grease the waffle iron with melted butter or cooking spray.
  • Remove the croissant dough from the can and separate into individual pieces. If perforated, gently press seams together.
  • For a caramelized crust, lightly sprinkle granulated sugar on both sides of the dough.
  • Place one piece of croissant dough in the center of the waffle iron.
  • Close the lid and cook for 3–5 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.
  • Carefully remove the croffle using tongs or a spatula.
  • Allow to cool for 1–2 minutes to crisp up further.
  • Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm with maple syrup or desired toppings.
