For the Chicken:
- 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- ½ cup cornstarch
- 2 large eggs beaten
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- Oil for frying vegetable or canola oil
For the Firecracker Sauce:
- ⅓ cup hot sauce such as Frank’s RedHot
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder

Prep the Chicken:
