  • 6 slices bread sourdough, multigrain, or your choice, toasted
  • 6 slices oven-roasted turkey breast
  • 1 ripe avocado mashed or thinly sliced
  • 4 slices cooked bacon
  • 4 leaves lettuce romaine or iceberg
  • 1 medium tomato thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise optional
  • 2 slices cheese optional – Swiss, provolone, cheddar, etc.
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Toast the bread: Lightly toast three slices of bread per sandwich until golden and crisp.
  • Cook the bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towels.
  • Prep the avocado: Mash it in a bowl with a pinch of salt and pepper, or slice it thinly.
  • Assemble the layers:
  • Bottom slice of bread: Spread mayonnaise or mustard, then layer lettuce, turkey, and avocado.
  • Middle slice of bread: Place over the first layer. Add tomato slices, bacon, and optional cheese.
  • Top with the third slice of bread and gently press down.
  • Slice and serve: Cut the sandwich diagonally and secure with sandwich picks if needed. Serve immediately.
