  • 1 pound about 450g large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice optional
  • Red pepper flakes optional, for heat

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Shrimp:
    Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Sauté Garlic:
    Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant and lightly golden.
  • Cook the Shrimp:
    Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet in a single layer, making sure they are not overcrowded. Cook for 2-3 minutes, then flip the shrimp over and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until they are pink and opaque.

    Once the shrimp are cooked through, sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the top and add a squeeze of lemon juice for brightness (if using). You can also add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a bit of heat, if desired.
