Cuisine Italian
- 1 pound ground beef or a mixture of beef and pork
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 large egg
- Olive oil for cooking
- Marinara sauce for serving
Preheat the Oven:Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with olive oil. Mix the Ingredients:In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ricotta cheese, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, black pepper, and egg. Use your hands or a spoon to mix until all ingredients are well combined. Form the Meatballs:Scoop out portions of the meat mixture and roll them into balls, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Place the meatballs on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly apart. Bake the Meatballs:Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the meatballs for 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and browned on the outside. Serve:Remove the meatballs from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve the ricotta meatballs warm with your favorite marinara sauce for dipping or toss them in the sauce to coat evenly. Enjoy:Enjoy your delicious ricotta meatballs as a main dish with pasta, on a sandwich, or as an appetizer with toothpicks for dipping.
