Ingredients

For the Salmon Bites:

  • 1 lb salmon fillet skinless, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme

For the Garlic Cream Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Salmon Bites:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
In a bowl, toss the salmon cubes with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and dried thyme until evenly coated.
Spread the salmon bites out on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Bake the Salmon Bites:
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and slightly crispy on the edges.
  • Prepare the Garlic Cream Sauce:
While the salmon is baking, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant and lightly golden.
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and continue to cook, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens (about 3-5 minutes).
Add the lemon juice and season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat.
  • Combine and Serve:
Once the salmon bites are done, transfer them to a serving plate.
Drizzle the garlic cream sauce over the salmon bites.
    Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.

Notes

  • Choose Fresh Salmon: Use fresh, high-quality salmon for the best flavor and texture.
  • Uniform Pieces: Cut the salmon into uniform bite-sized pieces to ensure even cooking.
  • Avoid Overcooking: Keep a close eye on the salmon while baking to prevent overcooking, which can make the fish dry.
  • Sauce Consistency: If the garlic cream sauce becomes too thick, you can thin it out with a little more cream or a splash of chicken broth.
  • Fresh Herbs: Feel free to add other fresh herbs like dill or chives to the sauce for additional flavor.
