Ingredients
  

  • 1 can 5 ounces tuna, drained
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 celery stalk finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons red onion finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices of whole-grain or your preferred bread
  • Lettuce leaves optional
  • Tomato slices optional

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Tuna Salad:
    In a medium bowl, mash the avocado with a fork until smooth.
    Add the drained tuna to the bowl and mix well with the mashed avocado.
    Stir in the mayonnaise and lemon juice until well combined.
    Add the finely chopped celery and red onion to the mixture. Mix well.
    Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Assemble the Sandwich:
    Lay out the slices of bread on a clean surface.
    Spread the tuna avocado mixture evenly onto two slices of bread.
    If desired, add lettuce leaves and tomato slices on top of the tuna avocado mixture.
    Top with the remaining slices of bread to form the sandwiches.
  • Serve:
    Cut the sandwiches in half, if desired, and serve immediately. Enjoy!
