Cooking Tips

Here are some cooking tips to ensure your Bacon Cheeseburger Meatloaf turns out perfectly:

Use Lean Ground Beef: Opt for lean ground beef to minimize excess grease in the meatloaf. This helps keep the texture moist without being overly greasy.

Soak Breadcrumbs in Milk: Soaking breadcrumbs in milk before adding them to the meatloaf mixture helps keep the meatloaf moist and tender. It also adds a subtle richness to the texture.

Mix Ingredients Gently: Mix the meatloaf ingredients together gently until just combined. Overmixing can result in a dense and tough texture.

Season Generously: Don’t skimp on seasoning. Be sure to season the meatloaf mixture well with salt, pepper, and any other desired seasonings to enhance the flavor.

Shape Loaf Uniformly: When shaping the meatloaf, try to make it uniform in size and thickness to ensure even cooking. A loaf pan can help maintain the shape during baking.

Wrap with Bacon Securely: When wrapping the meatloaf with bacon, ensure that the bacon slices are tightly wrapped around the meatloaf to prevent them from unraveling during baking.

Let it Rest: Allow the meatloaf to rest for a few minutes after baking before slicing. This helps the juices redistribute throughout the meatloaf, resulting in a juicier and more flavorful end product.

Check Internal Temperature: Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the meatloaf. It should register 160°F (70°C) when fully cooked.

Make Ahead: You can prepare the meatloaf mixture ahead of time and refrigerate it until ready to bake. This allows the flavors to meld together and can save time on busy days.

Customize Toppings: Feel free to customize the glaze and toppings to suit your taste preferences. You can experiment with different sauces, cheeses, and garnishes to create your perfect Bacon Cheeseburger Meatloaf.

By following these cooking tips, you’ll be able to create a delicious and satisfying Bacon Cheeseburger Meatloaf that’s sure to impress!

  1. I made this last night.. and they loved it…. but I think the next time I make this.. I will mix the cheddar cheese in with everything else.. I shredded the cheese myself and it didn’t cook well on top and it stopped the bacon from getting crispy so I turned it up.. which then caused some of the cheese to lightly burn… It definitely didn’t look like the picture which I strive for as runner up behind “taste”… but the flavor was great!

  2. I will make this tomorrow and I will out my cheesiness the meatloaf or add it 15 minutes before i take it out. It will be over done if it is on top of that meat and hr. How did they get this to work. I will add liquid smoke and some more spices. Sounds so good. Iwill ck back with you once I finish. Thank you every one.

Just made this tonight. Very good! I added the cheese to the mixture and used closer to 3/4 cup. Next time I think I would skip the milk and bake it on a cookie sheet on a baking rack so it’s not sitting in all the grease. Will definitely make again.
